3 day tour of Indonesia:
Route: Labuanbajo – Komodo National Park – Rinca – Labuanbajo
Day 1 – Arrival in Labuanbajo, transfer to hotel
You will arrive at Labuanbajo airport. A driver will pick you up for the transfer to your hotel. You’ll stay in a good quality mid-range hotel on the beach.
Day 2 – Boat trip to Komodo National Park
In the early morning at 06.00, a guide will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to the harbour. You will board your private wooden boat for today. The boat has standard facilities like a toilet and benches to sit on. There’s also coffee, tea and drinking water as well as lunch prepared on board by the staff. An English-speaking guide will help you out for today.
It takes about 2 hours to get to the island of Rinca, part of Komodo National Park. You’ll report at headquarters here, and you will have a pick of guided walks with national park rangers that you can choose from. Spotting Komodo dragons is the main goal, but Rinca also has an interesting landscape and great views in itself. You might also spot other animals like deer, monkeys, birds, etc.
Once you’ve finished exploring, you’ll head back to the boat and head off to a small island to do some serious snorkelling and relaxing. In the afternoon you’ll go back to Labuanbajo, and a transfer will bring you back to your hotel.
Day 3 – End of trip
A transfer will take you to the airport. From here you can board a flight to your next destination. There are connections to Bali, Jakarta, Surabaya and Lombok (with transit in Bali). On to the next part of your Indonesia adventure!
