8 day tour of Jordan:
Route: Amman – Madaba – Kerak – Petra – Aqaba – Dead Sea – Amman
Day 1 – Arrival in Amman – Travel to Madaba After arriving in Amman, the capital of Jordan, you will travel on to nearby Madaba. Madaba is a quiet, ancient Christian town, ideally suited for exploration on foot. Day 2 – Madaba – Kings’ Highway – Mt. Nebo – Kerak – Petra After breakfast in Madaba, travel down Kings’ Highway – an ancient route and once part of the famous Silk Road – to Kerak , the medieval Crusaders castle. You’ll travel alongside impressive deserts and spectacular valleys, and can even get a glimpse of the promised lands Moses saw from the top of Mount Nebo. After a visit to Kerak, continue to Petra for an overnight stay. Day 3: Petra Take the day to explore Petra. The name Petra means ‘rock’ in ancient Greek – for reasons that will become apartment as soon as you step foot in this city. This city is the treasure of ancient world, hidden behind an almost impenetrable barrier of rugged mountains, boasting incomparable scenes that make it the most majestic and imposing ancient site still-standing nowadays. Built more than 2000 years ago, and admired at the time for its refined culture, massive architecture and ingenious complex of dams and water channels, Petra is now a UNESCO world heritage site and one of The New 7 Wonders of the World that enchants visitors from all corners of the globe. Day 4 : Petra – Wadi Rum Travel from Petra to the Wadi Rum desert. Home to the Bedouins, Wadi Rum is a beautiful spot, and perfect for enjoying an unspoiled starry night. Spend the night in a Bedouin style camp. Day 5: Wadi Rum – Aqaba After breakfast, enjoy a camel tour through the desert. Travel to Aqaba in the early afternoon, and spend the night in a comfortable hotel with a pool. Day 6: Aqaba Spend the day exploring Aqaba; a quaint town on the Red Sea. Choose from shopping, fishing, windsurfing, swimming, diving, and various other seaside activities. The average of annual temperature of water in the Gulf of Aqaba allows enjoying bathing & diving all year around. Day 7: Aqaba – Dead Sea – Amman Travel today to the deepest point on Earth, the Dead Sea; and experience the sensation of floating on sea water. You’ll stay overnight at a hotel overlooking the Dead Sea. Day 8: Departure / Return home A transfer service will take you from your hotel to the airport, in plenty of time to catch your flight home.
