STAY IN SMALL-SCALE FAMILY-RUN HOTELS, GUESTHOUSES, ECO LODGES AND HOMESTAYS AND LEARN ABOUT THE LOCAL WAY OF LIFE
The hotels we use in Bhutan are small-scale hotels with great hospitality. Most of the accommodations are built with natural materials and according to local architecture. Both the staff and the delicious food served in the restaurants come from the area. Below is a description of some Bhutan hotels we use.
Thimpu – Hotel Pedling
Hotel Pedling is a very centrally located mid-range hotel. You can walk from here to all major sights, restaurants and shops in the centre of Thimphu. When you enter the hotel you are greeted with warm towels and hot green tea and the staff of the hotel will do everything to assist you. The rooms are comfortable and cozy with wooden floors. The hotel has a spa where you can get a good massage. Hotel Pedling is owned by a greatly revered Buddhist Lama, Gangtey Trulku. All proceeds from the hotel go to eight nunneries and religious institutions spread across the country.
